Jim Butler bought his first dealership in 1980. It was a Chevrolet store in Crestwood, MO, which is a municipality located in St. Louis County. The Chevy dealership was fully equipped with a Service Department, Parts Department and Body Shop, even their own snow plow. After 27 years in business, the Chevy store found that they were outgrowing their current dealership and lacked room to expand for more inventory.

In 2007 Jim Butler Chevy built a new home in Fenton, Missouri less than 10 minutes west of the Crestwood location. The new state-of-the-art Chevrolet dealership is part of the Gravois Bluffs Development located just off Highway 141 and south of Gravois Rd. (Missouri Route 100). We now have expanded our inventory from 100 new Chevy vehicles to 250+ and 180+ used cars In-Stock including GM Certified, Butler Certified, and Butler-Backed Pre-owned vehicles.
