1980-Jim Butler bought his first dealership in St. Louis, MO. It was a stand alone Chevrolet dealership and the first year of production for the 1980 Chevy Citation. The Citation was a front-wheel drive hatchback and a radical departure from American Industry as well as Motor Trend’s 1980 “Car of the Year”.
Throughout the ’80s, Jim grew his business in the Crestwood area and was a big part of developing the Saturn brand “a new kind of car company” back in the late 1980′s. Jim saw the vision of Saturn, and the unique qualities that the brand was built on.
During the 1990′s, Jim Butler expanded his dealership network with two Saturn Dealerships, and eventually two more out of the St. Louis area (Cape Girardeau, MO and Carbondale, IL).

The staff is the best group of Chevy Guys in the St. Louis area, and are known for being experts in just about anything Chevy related. The new location also enabled Jim Butler Chevrolet to expand the New Chevy and Pre-owned inventory to offer more selection for customers while increasing the presence of Butler Chevy in the St. Louis area.
Further along in 2009, the Jim Butler Auto Group purchased the a KIA and Mitsubishi dealership located on Manchester Rd. in Ellisville. In 2010, the KIA dealership moved to Chesterfield Valley and the Mitsubishi dealership moved to South County off of 1117 Lindbergh Business Court.
